Collection includes one photograph album (Box 3) containing images supplementary to "Old Gardens of Pennsylvania" by Harshberger. It includes pictures of botanical gardens, arboretums, and various types of trees and plants. Also included is one box (Box 1) of letters, notes, and drawings covering Harsherger's research on the topics of Clovers (Folders 32-44), Box Huckleberry (Folders 10-19), and the Chestnut Blight of Delaware Valley from 1908 to 1913 (Folders 20-31). Box 2 contains miscellaneous items including a collection of biographical sketches of early botanists, records of botanical trips Harsherger took in 1928 and in 1929, and a handwritten narrative on the history of slavery in the United States written by Harsherger's father, Dr. Abram Harshberger.
